Let’s face it – our rush filled lives leave us no time to exercise or have fiber or capsules or do anything else apart from work and doing personal chores that can’t be avoided. It’s a vicious cycle of lifestyle that gives us no room to maneuver, and that’s difficult to break out of.
Yet, the irony is, that with regular intake of fiber supplements such as Glucomannan, you will feel better about yourself and have more energy.
Having said this, it is also important to understand more about the benefits of Glucomannan which is definitely the key to increase your chances of looking good and feeling good. Glucomannan can absorb a lot of water so it tends to promote a feeling of being full and not hungry. No wonder, the use of glucomanan in supplements that are meant to promote weight loss has increased by leaps and bounds.

If you think you’ve tried every diet in the book and have no lasting results to show for it, maybe you should consider First Place, a Christ-centered weight loss program designed for getting results and building relationships.
In a matter of days, an orientation for First Steps will occur at Greenwood Family YMCA, to teach potential participants the nature of the program.
According to First Place leader and participant Debbie Dean, the program emphasizes accountability while focusing on nutrition and exercise.
Dean knows what the program can do. She saw results six years ago when she tried it in her home.
“I’ve had great success with the program,” she said. “It works so well because you get to know each other, and you encourage one another plus hold each other accountable with the program. First Place is different from any other weight-loss program because of the emphasis on Bible study and emphasis on prayer.”
But with success comes commitment, and according to a brochure on the program, there are nine commitment areas, including attendance, encouragement, prayer, Bible reading, scripture memory verse, Bible study, Live-it Plan, commitment record and exercise. read more

If you are still inclined to believe that cardio is the be-all-end-all of fat loss solutions, consider the results of two studies conducted within the past year. The first, from Australia, showed that cardio did nothing for female fat loss, while interval training burned belly fat. The second, an American study, showed that even doing 300 hours a year of traditional long, slow cardio resulted in less than six pounds of fat lost — for both men and women. That equals less than one-third of an ounce per hour!
If fat loss is your goal, you’ll burn fat, get lean and boost your metabolism by lifting weights— preferably with a trainer, and yes, ladies, that includes you. Follow the resistance training with a short-interval cardio session that will amplify your fat burn and condition your heart. read more
